Online mixing, mastering and immersive audio production

01 / Approach

Vision

Refugium Klangproduktion is my personally run studio for online mixing, mastering and immersive audio production. I work directly with artists, bands, producers and ensembles worldwide—from the first exchange and secure file transfer to revisions and final delivery.

Sound is not simply a product. It is a state, a moment, a movement. It needs space in which to unfold—without haste, without pressure, in its own form. My aim is not merely to record music, voices or environments. I want to create a place where they can breathe: a refuge where creativity, emotion and technical care meet.

02 / Immersive Audio

The future of listening is immersive.

Why Dolby Atmos™? Because it allows sound to be placed, moved and composed in three dimensions. The result is not effect for its own sake, but a more physical and emotionally direct way of listening.

It also gives a production room to travel across different playback environments—from headphones and soundbars to complete immersive systems.

I create Dolby Atmos mixes for configurations up to 7.1.4. From intimate singer-songwriter productions to complex ensemble and orchestral work, the aim remains the same: to preserve musical intention while opening a convincing sense of depth, height and movement.

03 / About

Listening is where every recording begins.

For more than ten years, I have accompanied musicians, bands and ensembles from the first sound to the final master. During that time I have refined my technical practice, but more importantly, I have learned to listen—to what is present, and to what lies between the lines. Every production asks for a different approach. This experience has sharpened my sense for detail, atmosphere and proportion, and shaped a simple principle: not to control sound, but to create the conditions in which it can become fully itself.

2094 – SYNS

23 May 2026 · Album · Digital

After a decade-long pause, “SYNS” brings together twelve tracks developed across ten years of the band’s work. The title points both to synthesizers and to “sins”—older musical traces brought back into the light. The album moves through melancholic soundscapes, electronic, ambient, electro-pop, drum & bass and techno. My contribution: mixing and mastering.

A note

Sometimes a project begins with a clear idea.
Sometimes with a sound, a question, or a feeling that is difficult to describe.
Tell me what you are working on and what you would like the music to become.
I read every message personally and will reply with care.
